Joy Obasogie is a business woman and CEO of Shawty Limited, an underwear line that caters for the need of women of all shapes and sizes. She is also a life coach and relationship expert and offers free advisory services to NGOs. Born and raised in Benin, she attended the prestigious University of Benin, where she graduated with a degree in philosophy.
She started and managed her own retail food business between 2001-2004 and then proceeded with her professional career in Zenith Bank Plc from 2005 – 2015 before she decided to quit her paid job and go back to business where her passion is. In 2015, she created Shawty Lingerie. A brand aimed at not only to boost your confidence but also to fit your budget in a way you won’t need to break the bank to get a good quality product. Shawty lingerie serves both individual customers and wholesale customers (resellers) all over the country.
She’s a humanitarian who is passionate about making a difference and happily offers herself in service wherever and however it is required. Currently the female Chairperson of her estate women’s group comprising of over 400 families, she also mentors in other smaller women’s group. With her work, she intends to motivate other women to pursue and develop their passion.
